At Harris Log & Country Homes we offer a wide variety of logs and log profiles for you to choose from.
Our most popular House Log is cut from a mixture of dead-standing Spruce and Lodge Pole Pine that grow at altitudes of 10,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains. Most of these trees have been dead for several years, drying slowly in the arid mountain climate. This long drying process gives the logs cut from these trees a stability that you just can't get from logs that are only dried in a kiln in a matter of days.
We have a wide selection of Log profiles and several different types of Logs to choose from.
- Our D-shape Log: is our best seller designed with a flat interior to accommodate modern furnishings on the inside with a
round traditional exterior look. Our spruce logs can be hand peeled or mill finish. (6" up to 12")
- Double Round Spruce: round outside and inside walls.
-Dove Tail Spruce: 6'' up to 12''
- Smokey Mountain Spruce Log: flat on both sides with a chinking groove. 6" up to 12''
- Aromatic Eastern Cedar Log: D Shape Design with more durability against the weather than most any log on the market.
- Laminated Pine: an engineered log with more strength than a solid wood beam.
